Community Medicine

The Department of Community Medicine is well known for its value-based education and contribution to all strata of society. Through teaching, training, service, and research initiatives, the department contributes significantly to developing empowered physicians of first contact.

The department is committed to improving the quality of teaching and training in the practice of medicine, holistically encompassing promotive, preventive, curative, and rehabilitative aspects of disease.

It also coordinates activities included in national programmes.
